Phone Applications that Can Help Your Child’s Teeth

Your smartphone and tablet can do many things. In fact, they can even help your child clean and learn more about their smile. This benefits your child, their teeth, and even their oral health. It can even help make your child’s dental checkups more successful. To explain a little more, our dentist, Dr. Sohrab Saghezchi, would be happy to tell you all about the great dental applications available today.

The first dental app is Disney and Oral-B’s “Disney Magic Timer.” This app helps motivate children to brush their teeth twice a day for two minutes each time. The app has a Disney character that brushes along with your child and also plays games with them as they scrub. The character can even have the same smile-cleaning tools, and your child can also collect stickers as the time passes.

The second app is “Virtual Dentist,” which allows your child to upload a picture of themselves and see what certain dental treatments would look like on their smile. This is a great way for your child to see what they would look like with braces, veneers, and dental fillings. The app also shows what it’s like to have dirty and clean teeth, which might motivate your child to keep up on oral hygiene.

The third app is “Tiny Dentist,” which has many different characters and themes your child can choose from. During this game, your child can pretend to be a dentist, fixing cavities, cleaning teeth, tending to bad breath, and even whitening teeth.
